Terms and Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Signature Remapping ("we", "us", "our"). By booking or receiving any service from Signature Remapping, the customer ("you", "the customer", "vehicle owner") agrees to the terms outlined below.
1. Acceptance of Risk
ECU remapping, performance tuning, and software modification increase vehicle performance beyond manufacturer specifications.
By agreeing to our services, the customer acknowledges and accepts that:
Performance modifications inherently carry mechanical risk
Increased power or torque may accelerate wear on engine, turbo, gearbox, clutch, drivetrain, and associated components
Signature Remapping cannot guarantee the future reliability of any vehicle
All work is performed at the customer's own risk.
2. Customer Responsibility
The customer confirms that:
The vehicle is mechanically sound and roadworthy
There are no known mechanical faults
The vehicle has been properly maintained
Any existing issues have been disclosed before tuning
Signature Remapping accepts no liability for failures caused by:
Existing mechanical faults
Poor maintenance
Worn components
Hidden or undisclosed problems
3. Mechanical Failure Disclaimer
Signature Remapping shall not be held liable for any mechanical failure occurring after a remap, including but not limited to:
Engine damage
Turbocharger failure
Clutch or gearbox failure
Fuel system damage
Cooling system issues
Electrical faults
Transmission issues
Vehicle components that fail after tuning are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.
4. No Manufacturer Warranty
ECU modification may:
Void manufacturer warranties
Affect dealer servicing
Trigger diagnostic flags or flash counters
Signature Remapping accepts no responsibility for any warranty claims denied by the vehicle manufacturer or dealer.
5. Emissions & Legal Compliance
Vehicle remapping may alter:
emissions output
factory emissions systems
regulatory compliance
The customer is solely responsible for ensuring their vehicle complies with local laws and regulations.
Signature Remapping accepts no responsibility for emissions compliance, inspections, MOT failures, or legal consequences.
6. Dyno Results Disclaimer (If Applicable)
If dyno testing is performed:
Power and torque figures are estimates only
Results may vary due to weather, vehicle condition, fuel quality, and testing variables
Signature Remapping does not guarantee specific power gains.
7. Data & Software Ownership
All software, tuning files, and calibration work remain the intellectual property of Signature Remapping.
Customers may not:
Copy
Reverse engineer
Distribute
Share
Resell
any tuning files without written permission.
8. Vehicle Abuse
Any warranty or goodwill support will be void if the vehicle is:
Used for racing or competition
Driven aggressively beyond normal road use
Modified further after tuning
Serviced incorrectly
Run on poor fuel
9. No Guarantee of Fuel Economy
Fuel economy improvements cannot be guaranteed and may vary depending on:
driving style
traffic conditions
vehicle condition
10. Software Reinstallation
If the ECU software is overwritten by:
dealer updates
ECU replacement
third-party tuning
vehicle repair
Signature Remapping may charge a reinstallation fee.
11. Refund Policy
Due to the nature of digital software services:
All tuning services are non-refundable once installed
Refunds will not be provided based on:
perceived performance expectations
fuel consumption changes
personal preference
12. Limitation of Liability
Under no circumstances shall Signature Remapping be liable for:
indirect damages
loss of income
loss of vehicle use
towing costs
repair costs
consequential damages
Total liability, if proven, shall not exceed the cost of the original tuning service.
13. Customer Consent
By signing below, the customer confirms that:
They understand the risks of ECU tuning
They accept full responsibility for their vehicle
They release Signature Remapping from liability for mechanical failures related to tuning
14. Customer Acknowledgment
By booking with Signature Remapping and/or signing below, the customer confirms that they:
Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions
Accept the risks associated with ECU remapping
Confirm the vehicle is mechanically sound
Accept full responsibility for the vehicle after modification
Release Signature Remapping from liability for mechanical failures related to tuning
